What is ZoomCar's cancellation policy?
ZoomCar's cancellation policy has three time-based tiers. Cancellations 48+ hours before pickup typically receive a full refund. Between 24 and 48 hours, a partial cancellation fee applies. Within 24 hours of pickup or a no-show, the booking amount is generally forfeited. Security deposits are refunded separately — within 5–7 working days after trip close with no damage.

How to cancel a ZoomCar booking
- Open the ZoomCar app → My Trips → select the booking
- Tap "Cancel Booking" — the applicable fee is shown before you confirm
- Confirm the cancellation — a cancellation confirmation is sent to your registered email/phone
- Refund is credited to the original payment method within 5–7 working days
What if ZoomCar cancels your booking?
If ZoomCar or the host cancels your booking (car unavailable, breakdown, etc.) you are entitled to a full refund regardless of how close to pickup it occurs. Document the cancellation notification. If the refund does not appear within 10 working days, email ZoomCar support with your booking ID and cancellation confirmation.
Security deposit — when is it refunded?
The security deposit (typically ₹3,000–5,000 for hatchbacks, ₹8,000–15,000 for SUVs) is refunded within 5–7 working days after your trip is marked complete with no damage. If you're disputing a damage deduction, email ZoomCar support with photos taken at pickup showing pre-existing condition — that is the strongest evidence for a reversal.
