How do I extend a self-drive car rental booking?

To extend your active Zymo booking, open the booking on the Zymo app or website, tap 'Extend booking', enter the new return time, and pay the extension cost. Confirm extension at least 2-4 hours before your original return time to lock the car for the extra duration. Extensions are partner-dependent — some partners can extend by hours, others only by full days.
Same-day extension vs next-day extension
Same-day extensions (adding a few hours to a 24-hour booking) are billed at the hourly overtime rate, typically ₹100-200 per hour above the daily rate. Multi-day extensions (adding a full day or more) are billed at the partner's standard daily rate at the time of extension. The total extension cost is shown in the app before you confirm.
When the partner can refuse an extension
If the car is booked by another customer immediately after your return time, the partner cannot extend — they will tell you in-app, and you must return on time. To minimise extension refusal risk, book a longer duration upfront (a 5-day booking is cheaper per day than a 3-day plus 2-day extension), or extend early before another booking locks the car.
