Is Aadhaar OTP verification required?

Yes. All Zymo bookings include an Aadhaar OTP verification step you complete via WhatsApp or email link before pickup. Completing it before reaching the partner location saves 10 to 15 minutes at handover. Same step as a normal self-drive booking.

What about insurance during the Extended Test Drive?

Mandatory third-party insurance is included by every partner. Comprehensive coverage (own-damage, theft) varies — most partners include it, some offer it as an upgrade. The booking page shows the partner's specific insurance policy. Coverage is the same as a normal self-drive booking — the Extended Test Drive variant does not change insurance terms.

What documents do I need for an Extended Test Drive?

For an Extended Test Drive on Zymo, you need the same documents as a normal self-drive booking — a valid Indian driving licence (full, not learner, at least one year old), a government photo ID (Aadhaar preferred), and a credit or debit card for the refundable security deposit. Aadhaar OTP verification is completed online before pickup. No dealer paperwork or buying-intent proof is required.

The three core documents

1. Driving licence (full, non-learner)

A valid Indian driving licence for the car class you are booking — at least one year old. Bring the physical original at pickup. Learner's licences and expired licences are not accepted. Your name on the licence must match the name on the booking.

2. Government photo ID

Aadhaar is the most widely accepted. Passport, voter ID, and PAN card also work. The ID name must match the booking and the driving licence.

3. Payment card for security deposit

Credit or debit card under the booking name. The deposit is held — not charged — for the rental period, and refunded within 5-7 working days after return. Deposit amounts typically range from ₹3,000 to ₹15,000 depending on car class and partner.

For foreign nationals

Foreign tourists and NRIs renting an Extended Test Drive car in India need an International Driving Permit (IDP) from their home country alongside the home-country licence, plus passport with valid Indian visa, plus address proof in India (hotel booking confirmation or local host's address typically works). Some partners restrict bookings to Indian citizens only — the booking page shows partner-specific eligibility.
